Spring is here, symbolizing life and new beginnings!
Just like the opening game of baseball season, spring on a farm is a joyous and hopeful time. Here in our newest grove, we have just planted our “baby” olive trees—our promises of the future.
The next 6 to 8 months is a critical period. We will be taking the utmost care and attention to help these trees grow and stretch their roots deeper into the soil. We will make sure they stay moist and nourished, allowing the olive tree shoots to climb up the trellis and strengthen. These trees won’t bear fruit for three long years. Until then, we nurture and allow them the time to develop the strong foundation necessary for producing incredibly fresh fall harvest extra virgin olive oil.
